Barrel Nuts are sometimes called Binding Post Nuts. Barrel Nuts features a long threaded shank that is internally threaded in order to be mated with Barrel Bolts or other machine screws or bolts. Once fastened together, the assembly features a shank with a smooth exterior. Break Away Nuts are tamper resistant nuts that, upon assembly, are designed to break apart in a manner that permanently removes the drive mechanism.
