At AGP Plastics, we are a technically progressive company and a leading manufacturer of custom fine wire embedded interlayers. We pioneered a unique and proprietary wire embedding process that produces a superior, high-performance bond between the wire filaments and the interlayer substrate, resulting in a reliable, durable, and flat heated interlayer ready for trouble-free laminating. We embed 500 ohm to 30-ohm wire in optically clear interlayer substrate materials such as PVB, RM21, SGP, and urethane film measuring from .015” to .090” in thickness. Deeply embedded, the fine wire is invisible to the human eye. Computerized design modeling allows us to generate specific patterns that provide uniform heat distribution, even in oddly shaped pieces. We offer a choice of specialty alloy wires, and all production takes place in an environmentally controlled cleanroom. All interlayers are thoroughly tested before packing and shipping. Our wire embedding process creates such a strong bond that the interlayers survive long-distance shipping perfectly intact with no degradation of the filaments. The interlayers are compatible with ordinary laminating production lines, and we offer versions for nip roller pre-pressing or vacuum de-airing. We are one of only a handful of companies that supply non-laminated wire embedded interlayers, and with our experience and insight in glass laminating, we engineer solutions for the most complex and challenging electrically heated glass applications.
