Despite technological advancements, the art of wire harnessing is still very much the same as it was 40 years ago. Each harness still needs to be laid out by hand one wire at a time. Fortunately, we at Genco Industries have been spending the last 40 years improving our skills. Our veteran harnessers are some of the best in the industry and we take pride in the quality harnesses we put out every day. In addition to our skilled team we’ve taken advantage of advances in automated cutting, stripping, marking, terminating, braiding, wrapping, and continuity testing – all the aspects that are critical in manufacturing high-quality turnkey harness assemblies. Much of the preparation of wire and cable used in our harnesses is done using our high-speed automated equipment. Our equipment handles a wide variety of wire types and gauges from 30 to 4/0 AWG and multi-conductor cables up to 15 mm wide. We offer a range of harness protection types including bound, braided, laced, wrapped, and heat shrink wrapped. To keep installation simple we offer a range of marking and identification options including hot stamping, inkjet printing, and labeling. Our production facilities are specifically set up to accommodate quick transitions from individual prototypes to large production runs. We are happy to set up Kanban or managed inventory systems for production harnesses, keeping your assembly like stocked with minimal overhead inventory.
