We have been providing precision machining services for the automotive, defense, and firearms industries for over 80 years and continue to be successful as result of our dedication to not only quality, but unrivaled customer service.Davenport screw machining is the ideal method for drilling, knurling, threading, and broaching steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic parts between 0.100 in and 0.875 in. in outer diameter at volumes of over 20,000 pieces. Machines are equipped with 5 spindles, providing the option of machining multiple part features simultaneously which results in very short cycle times. Standard precision tolerances for machined parts typically measure ±0.005 in, but tolerances as tight as ±0.00002 in can be held for ultra-precision applications. Parts are inspected using a combination of automated vision systems and calibrated gauges as outlined in our ISO 9001:2008 certified quality management program.For smaller lot sizes or larger diameter parts, Swiss CNC machining may be a better fit. By providing multiple machining options, we are able to provide premium quality parts at competitive prices for lot sizes as small as 100 pieces. The lead time for each job is evaluated on a case by case basis, but as a domestic manufacturer, we are able to quickly respond to rush orders as needed.
