10, 15, 20, and 25 kVDC – Series 500, 521, 521 SL, 531 and 531 SL Coaxial Connectors with Recessed Contacts for Added User Safety

The 500, 531, 531 SL, 521 and 521 SL Series of high voltage connectors and cable assemblies are designed to minimize the risk of electrical shock to personnel through the use of recessed contacts. Both the receptacle and plug connectors have recessed contacts positioned to stand-off the rated voltage of each respective series in an unmated condition at sea level. In addition to the recessed contact, the connectors also feature a spring finger body design which assures a reliable ground circuit prior to engagement of the center contact; further reducing the risk of electrical shock. Operating Temperature Range-40° to 85°C Series 500The 500 Series offers polarization by having two plug and receptacle designs with each pair having either a flush or recessed contact. For example, the plug designed with a flush contact will only mate with the receptacle with a recessed contact.
