About Product
Cotter pins, also called split pins, are equipped with two tines that bend during application. These metal fasteners lock in place during installation when the two ends of the cotter pin are bent apart, and are meant for temporary use. At National Bolt & Nut, we offer a line of premium cotter pins that feature an extended prong style. This prong style makes it easier to separate the tines during application. All of our premium cotter pins meet ANSI B18.8.1 dimensional specifications and feature a chisel point for easy insertion. Other materials and finishes available.
