For example, all shafts have been nitro-carburizing treated for a much longer life against corrosion, up to 20 to 1 longer life than chromium electroplating. Stephens’s cylinders are environmentally friendly, no surface pitting, flaking, or hydrogen embrittlement. The rod’s lip seal is designed with a real rod u-cup for zero leakage at all pressures from -50 degrees to 230 F degrees. The piston wear ring is nylon material and designed for low friction. This will eliminate metal to metal contact.Note: Other size cylinder rods available
