Casting Method Centrifugal(In centrifugal casting, a permanent mold is rotated about its axis, at a high rate of speed, as the casting material (molten Material, metal or non-metal) is poured into the mold.)Die Casting(Die casting is similar to permanent mold casting except that the casting material is injected into the mold or die under high pressure.)Four Slide(Four slide and multi slide die casting mold has four or more parts that slide together to form the mold.)Investment Alternatives(Another type of Investment casting is to coat the item to be molded with a rubber or silicone rubber compound, After the coating has hardened. The coating is cut from the armature and used for lost wax casting. Various type of foam can be used in place of the wax.)Investment Casting(Investment casting uses a pattern made to from a wax or a foam form. The form is then covered with a suitable casting media such as sand or plaster. When the casting media has set or dried, the form is removed. The casting material is then poured into the void left by the form.)Lost Foam(Lost foam casting uses foam patterns, in place of wax, as the investment.)Lost Wax(Lost wax casting uses wax patterns as the investment.)No Bake(The no bake process uses sand molds that are made from a mixture of sand and a quick setting plastic or epoxy binder poured into molding shells. A pattern is placed between the mold shells. The sand/binder mixture is then added to the mold shells. After the molding sand/binder mixture has hardened. The pattern is removed from the casting shells. The casting material is then poured into the void left by the pattern.)Sand Casting(Sand casting produces rough metal castings using a mold usually made from sand formed around a replica of the object, also called a pattern, to be cast and is removed once the sand has been compacted.)Spin Casting(Spin casting also known as centrifugal rubber mold casting is a method of using centrifugal force to produce castings from a rubber mold.)Squeeze or Squeezer(Squeeze casting or squeezer casting, also known as liquid metal forging, is a combination of both the casting and forging processes.)Unicast Process(The Unicast Ceramic Molding Process® offers the simplicity of sand casting while still offering the quality of precision casting.)
